Manages and supports the engineering function and ensures the department conforms to the company quality system procedures as documented. Analyzes production methods to ensure time and cost goals are reached. Provides technical guidance on most complex projects. Establishes and enforces procedures for maintaining high standards of quality, reliability and safety in product designs and applications. Evaluates and develops improved techniques for the control of product designs, quality, reliability and safety. Works with customers to ensure products conform to their requirements and meet the customers needs. Implements and maintains design control procedures, reporting on engineering performance and improvements.
